Film: This Island Earth (1955)
Alias: None
Type: Alien
Location: Haunted Home
Height/Weight: That of an average human.
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: When in war, everyone needs to lend a helping hand. However, there's a fine line between helping and being forced into it with no regard for free will. The inhabitants of planet Metaluna never got this, and payed dearly for it.
History: Locked in a losing war with the insanely powerful Zargons, the Metalunans grew desperate, not only seeking Earth as a potential plan B for a habitable planet, but relying too much on menial labor. The labor in question was being carried out by mutant humanoid monsters that vaguely resembled insects. Pretty soon, they would need Earth's nuclear power and fast, no matter how much it would harm our society.
Notable Kills: None.
Final Fate: One mutant is crushed by piles of rubble, and the rest perish alongside all of Metaluna, as the Zargons reduce it to a burning mass. A stowaway mutant dies being crushed by the increasing pressure from the dead planet to Earth.
Powers/Abilities: None.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 3.5-The mutants are ugly, plain and simple. From their exposed brains to their near-skeletal appearance, it's amazing that the Metalunans didn't just put them all out of their misery. Though to some extent, their faces are kind of adorable in a weird way.
Trivia: -The last mutant's breakdown under pressure is something that would befall any bug bigger than an alarm clock in this age, as the atmosphere in our planet has decreased immensely from their Carboniferous glory days, reducing their size.
-Due to effects complications, the mutant's actor was forced to wear modified trousers in place of anything more complex.
